First round of golf for the season yesterday…. with one trip to the driving range the day prior as a warm up, lets just say I’m glad it was a scramble… collectively we turned in a -1 for the round. It only took me the first three holes to figure out that I never did learn how to swing my driver, tossed it right back into the bag and stayed with my trusty 3 wood for the rest of the round. It’s the only wood I’ve managed to keep under control (most of the time) and I get about 200 yards out of her. I see many trips to the driving range in my immediate future.

Damn the Scot’s for creating such a stupid, but addictive game. Chasing a little white ball for miles hitting it with a stick, every time you find it, hit it again…. Only managed to lose 3 balls the whole round, with 2 dropped in the water on a mislabeled Par 3 hole. Card said 153, only noticing the plate in the ground that said 187 after splashing two. Go figger, at least I can blame the card for those.

Hey, even a bad day golfing is ALWAYS better than a good day working right?

Nest week I’m going to order 6 dozen balls from Golfballs.com and have they proudly printed with “This ball donated to you by Dave’s Ramblings Blog”. Just for fun… Besides, they carry my favorite ball custom printed for $5/dozen cheaper than I can get them off the shelf!
